For over 11 years, Lunar Legends of Polynesia has been Oahu’s most unique nighttime experience.
Located exclusively at the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu’s North Shore, our nighttime paddleboard and kayak tours take you somewhere no other tour can.
Paddle across illuminated waters as ancient Polynesian stories are told beneath the stars. Our guides are born and raised in the islands and water safety experts who have welcomed thousands of guests onto our lagoon since 2015.

I can't say enough how much we loved the Lunar Legends experience! This was our first time SUP'ing and visiting the Polynesian Cultural Center and we were lucky enough to get a private tour since we were the only ones who booked for that night. The guides were patient, helpful and told the most entertaining stories about Polynesian culture. We haven't stopped talking about how much fun we had a week later and can't wait to try SUP'ing again! A perfect way to spend our last night in Oahu.

We did the lunar legends tour on kayaks with our 6- and 9-year old daughters. It was actually a birthday celebration (her pick!) for our older daughter. We had a great time! It ended up being just our family in that 7:30pm tour, which was nice. Our guide, Kylie, was fantastic. She made it fun and taught us a lot. We all really enjoyed hearing the legends. Definitely would recommend this as a unique excursion to others.

This is a great family activity on the North Shore. They have you go around the Polynesian Cultural Center on lighted paddle boards or kayaks. We all chose paddle boards. It is calm, fresh water with no waves, so it's a great first time place to try paddle boarding. They stop every so often to rest and tell you a Polynesian Story under the stars, moonlight, palm and coconut trees. It was so fun. If you are looking for a great family friendly evening activity this is it.
